HELP! I was called into the bishops office this morning and was called to be the ward camp director! As soon as I walked out of those doors, floods of memories came to mind of all my wonderful years at girls camp. Each of you were in them. I feel a bit lost and well down right clueless. What does a camp director do? Where do I begin? Ummmm... help? I will keep you posted.

I know I have posted on everyone of these posts, but I just thought of something! Dont freak out until the meetings start with the stake, they really lead you through everything.
ReplyDeleteYou will be a fabulous camp director! You are a natural for that calling. It's a matter of doing the work to prepare ahead of time, but mostly it's just about loving the girls and helping them have spiritual and uplifting experiences. Can't wait to hear about your camp!
ReplyDeleteKristen - you will be an awesome camp director! Camp Mia Shalom is where I went to girls camp for every single one of the SIX years that I went. It's a great place to go. The girls will absolutely love you!!! They are so lucky to have you! You are perfect for YW camp director! I'm the 2nd councilor in our ward YW and I'm all excited to go to girls camp this year...it's been a while since I've gone- maybe I shouldn't be as excited as I am....! Anyways, congratulations to your ward YW for getting the most amazing camp director to lead their girls!
