What a week. Well, mostly just what a weekend. In fact I don't remember much of what happened before Friday. I suppose it was just a normal week. I was able to go to a baby shower of a girl in my ward. We also had fun at pack meeting. Anyways, on Friday Andrew (after being severely pestered by me) gave in, and played his bagpipes at the ward talent show. Everyone was amazed, as I am every time he fills that bag and moves those fingers! Thanks Andrew, for sharing your talent, and not hiding it under a bushel. Our second favorite talent was our friend Anthony. In high school he was ranked as the 48th best yo-yoer in the world! His act was so entertaining!
Saturday a very special event took place, Hailey was baptized! The fist grandchild of the family. She looked beautiful. My favorite part was when she and Rhett sang together. It was very touching. Hailey is an example to all the grandkids. I remember the night she was born. I was sitting on the floor in the hallway, I heard her cry and I started crying. Eight years already? Afterwards, we had a brunch at the Robison's. It was fun to have mom, dad, Aaron, Kira, Emma, and Stella down from the north.
Saturday evening we headed up to American Fork to attend the open house of one of my sweet co-workers, Leisha. We taught second grade for two years together, she is such a neat person. I am very happy for her. After the open house, mom and dad treated us to a "first run movie." :) That's right we didn't have to go to the dollar theater! We went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D! I thought is was clever and bizarre. I enjoyed watching it in 3D... sitting next to my mom and dad, giggling at the movie, I felt like a kid again.
Blowing us away with his bagpipe skills
Anthony doing his crazy yo-yoing
Leisha (the bride), me, Tiffany, Tammy, Lauretta, Elisa, Heather...I work with some great women!
Holy cow!! He plays the bag pipes?! AWESOME! I'm glad you pestered him! And I can't believe Hailey is 8. WOW. I remember Alison bringing her to 5th ward as a new babe. Where does the time go?!
ReplyDeletei love that Andrew doesn't "hide his talent under a bushel"... hahaha!!! hilarity!
ReplyDeleteTaylor's lifetime GOAL (and I kid you not) is to be in a Pipes and Drums brigade for the Firestation.... to put it simply: Taylor Wilson's motivation to be a Firefighter is to play the bagpipes and wear a kilt.... NOT to save lives. I'm so proud.
Hailey- oh wow, i cannot believe she's 8 already... my nephew, ol' Walter, was just baptized this month too-- since when are Mormon's baptizing babies????????????
