Spring Break 2010...

How did I spend the last week?? First, I'll tell ya what I didn't do. I DID NOT spend an hour each day commuting to and from work... nor did I spend 8.5 hours (my contract hours are form 7:30-4:00) in my home away form home, my classroom.  Needless to say, it was a wonderful, relaxing break.

1.  Spent some extra (needed) time at the gym.  While there, I looked around at all the people who get to go to the gym everyday at 9:00 a.m.-- I don't think they know how lucky they are!
2.  Went to see How to Train a Dragon, loved it.
3. Played a lot of skee-ball at the new Nickelcade. (Bridger is really good at throwing that little wooden ball into those holes.)
4.  Hailey and Hunter spent the night, we ran to our favorite, Movies 8, to see The Spy Next Door, Jackie Chan still has it! ;)
5.  Went to my first Utah Flash game with Angie, Bobbi, Jeff, Heidi, and Andrew. (thanks Dave!)
6.  Hopped in the car with the kids and went up to Discovery Park, such a cool park! I am sure the other 500 kids that were there would agree! Afterwards, we stopped in at the Purple Turtle... yummm!
7.  Tate spent the night.  He and I went to the track.  I think his four year old body runs faster than mine.  I wasn't even letting him win our races! The only way I could get Tate to leave the track, was to let him watch hurdle races on the "compuver" when we got home. (he's slightly obsessed.)
8.  Practiced (in my living room, clipping in and out of my bike) so that I could ride outside without crashing.  I rode outside, and didn't crash. Yippe! Now, I just need to find a riding buddy...
                                  (My cool sunburned foot)
9.  Saturday I got sunburned (YEAH!) while watching Andrew's meet up in Salt Lake.  He did really well, took third in both the 100 m and 400 m hurdles.  I enjoyed visiting with other "track wives."  Afterwards, we went out to eat at the Lion House. So so tasty.  Temple Square looks and smells absolutely beautiful with all the flowers in full bloom.

I suppose that all good things must come to an end... the countdown is on...7 more Mondays! ;)

  2. Are you a road biker now??!!??!!!! AHHHHHHH!!! I'm cyber-screaming my head off!!!! I am totally jealous, just the other day i was saying to the old man, "hey, when we get a disposable income- one hobby i'm dying to pick up is ROAD BIKING.... complete with the obscenely tight biking outfit to try to squeeze all my squishy lady bits into" and he tried not to vomit in front of me as he nodded in a supportive manner.

but for now, I guess i'll just stick to spinning class in a darkened room and my XXL sweats- not nearly as sexy, but still fun nonetheless.

ps. wow, just look at that foot. bunion-less. glorious.

pss. get SPF on those dogs of yours, crazy rebel, no one likes to look at feet with chunks of missing skin due to biopsy!!!! i know the last time I saw a foot like that, I freaked out, started to scream and point at it... like it was leprosy. I'm dramatic like that.
