Our mommas

Mom came in town this week and stayed with us on Monday night and Friday night.  It was fun to see her, especially so close to Mother's Day! Friday night Alison and I took mom out to Acaydia, where we all enjoyed a facial together.  It was nice.  Andrew and I both have some amazing moms.  We are so so blessed.  Today we attended Andrew's home ward with his parents.  A man spoke and shared a quote:  "God gave us mothers, because He can't be everywhere."  I loved that.  I look at my mom, my mother in law, my sister as a mom, and my 4 sister in laws all as mothers.  They are truly amazing to me.  I am surrounded by incredible examples of love, unselfishness, and kindness.  Thank you.

  1. Happy Mother's Day, Kris!

Even though you haven't "birthed from your loins" yet... i still think you're a Mom of sorts.. you've always been the best listener, the most nurturing, the best advice giver and the biggest heart whenever I'm around you. And those are the greatest attributes any mama could have. So when you have your 84 children running around, you just remember that we, your old roomies/friends, have been and always will be... you first babies.

this is sort of a weird comment. i think it's because i'm all hopped up on sugar, but still, it's probably not easy to read... sort of cringe-worthy.

but trust me... it makes sense in my brain.

ps. your mom is cuter than a baby seal with a ribbon on it. seriously.
