I thought it was going to be a huge adjustment for me to stay home. I love my job and being out and about and busy all day long. However, I am finding that the 'adjustment' has been much easier than anticipated. Baby girl keeps me a lot busier than I expected-- I am either changing her diaper, feeding her, or staring at her. I know- that's a lot for one person to handle ;), so you can see why I feel like these days the the hours in the day are fewer, I am too busy to do laundry, dishes, or even get dressed myself! :) I rather be holding Makayla and watching her funny little expressions, and listen to cute little sounds she makes.
I have also been busy teaching baby girl how to develop her talents such as this one...
Daughter like Mother... (for better or for worse)
We also have this in common...
Makayla also got to take her first bath... she wasn't a fan.
Splish...

SPLASH!
lol Those like-mother-like-daughter pictures are just priceless!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how someone SO tiny--like tiny enough that she fit inside you a couple of weeks ago--can consume SO much of your time? Whoa!
Kendra HATED getting bathed for the first six or seven months of her life--she screamed so hard I couldn't stand to do it to her more than once a week and only as absolutely as FAST a possible! Then suddenly one day she really started to love it and splashed around so happily and didn't mind having water on her head to wash her hair--that was a very, very happy day for us.
OH!! She is so teeny in that tub! Way to go Makayla... you made it through your first bath! :) LOVE all the pictures-- she is growing!!
ReplyDeleteI love her cross-eyes. Before I even noticed the picture of you below, I thought- she's like her momma! And she is SO tiney-tiny in that tub. I kinda-sorta really love Maykala Ivy :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! I can't believe how small she is. I'm so glad she came. I can't wait to meet her! She is just as beautiful as her mom, and so lucky to have you as her mom.
ReplyDeleteHow precious is our sweet little Makayla! Our # 10 !
ReplyDeleteLove her! We need to hang out!
ReplyDeleteNot so bad staying home huh! It's funny how busy they really do keep you!
Even if you are just staring!
O and bath time at that age- hated it. Scary- tiny little slippy bodies
And they themselves hate it to!
Can't wait to see and hold her again
She's beautiful! After three years I still have no problem being a stay at home mom.

ReplyDeleteoh boy... i had a GOOD laugh over sweet baby M's crazy eyes!!! totally a priceless photo right there! Love that girl.
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly, i'm not even a little bit surprised over how gracefully you've transitioned into motherhood.... you've got things totally under control, Lady! I was telling Taylor after I got home from your place, "I seriously wish i had a fraction of Kris's calmness when it comes to babies and all that it entails". You're my hero!!
ps. hahahahah!!! seriously... the EYES!
