whirlwind

I feel like I've been in the middle of a whirlwind since last Monday.

Last Sunday we were able to spend some time with the Adams and the Robisons, the calm before the storm. What adorable nieces and nephews we have! They have so much fun together.

Monday morning, it all began. Andrew picked up the moving truck. KB came to help Andrew load all the heavy items, while 7 scouts showed up and carried every single box from the house to the lawn, for easy loading. Those boys rocked! Steve came and helped Andrew load (every so meticulously) the truck up. Some awesome friends came over to help me get the cleaning done. THANK YOU a million times over Angie, Rachelle, Sinda, and Alison. It would have taken 5 times longer without you!

What a great house this was!

We spent the rest of the evening saying goodbyes. :( Vanessa made Andrew's all time favorite, chicken divine, and we enjoyed one last meal around the table.

Tuesday morning we set out bright and early. We stopped in Wendover for a picnic that Steve had made (yum). We got lucky with Priceline, and for $45 stayed at the high-rise casino: The Nugget. We ate some yummy food and Makayla tried her luck on the slots... she's growing up so fast!

We finished up the trek on Wednesday morning. When we arrived the Bishop was waiting for us to help unload the truck, the elders came by too, and that truck was empty in 30 minutes!

We have received a warm welcome with visits, dinner invitations, and cookies. I think we are in a great place!

  1. Um. That precious little person in all these pictures simply CAN'T be your baby. She's too grown up!

Moving is soooo stressful--so glad it went smoothly (or at least sounds like it did) for you!

  2. Ohh, so sad to see you move! Just today we were eating watermelon and Bridger asked if we could have a party and invite Kristen and Andrew over. Who knew watermelon would spark the idea of a party! So glad you made it there safe and sound.
