Grandpa's funeral was perfect. All of his children and grandchildren (- one on a mission) were in attendance. The service was beautiful with each of his children speaking and sharing their own memories of their dad, Abby on the harp, an amazing tenor singing "Memory" and "Love One Another" sung by all of his grand and great grandchildren. It was special. It is still strange and sad to think he is gone, but his life was beautifully celebrated and remembered.
Display Tables at the funeral...
At the viewing Friday night all of gpa's ties and suspenders were laid out for all the males to choose one of each to be worn the following day at the funeral. It was fun to see all the men sporting gpa's stylin' ways.
I stayed for the week and visited with family. We skipped the Adams family reunion this year, so it was fun to be with all the siblings, and meet the two new additions to the fam, Johnathan and Simone.

I love Bridger.
I was lucky enough to attend Miss Elisabeth's 3rd birthday. What a party (and cake!- way to go Katy!) Ian and Makayla were able to have some fun together as well.
Heading home... looking for dad. :)
We had a wonderful time. It was strange to be back so soon, as a visitor. I drove by the old house and stopped, a tinge of sadness came over me. Great memories in that home. It was neat to see the progress of things, the new civic center downtown, the I-15 construction, the Tabernacle. Funny how you leave a place and life continues without you. What was even stranger was coming back to California, and having it be familiar and home to me. Nine weeks ago we arrived and nothing felt familiar, oh life.

What an awesome family tree your grandfather has left behind! I am so glad you could attend his funeral and be there with your family. Everyone is growing up. I LOVE Ryan's boy's dark hair. And Makayla HAS hair...in little pigtails! Sweet family!!!
