Splash Monkey

"Splash" is one of Makalya's new favorite words.  August has been HOT and long- we spent much of May, June, and July outside- but August has brought temperatures that have kept us inside a bit more... (it might also have something to do with my expanding belly?...)

When we do go out, we like to keep cool, especially at the splash pads. Two weeks ago we showed Andrew one of our favorite pads. He got some great shots... 

I had to help her in at first...

 But then it was all her... 

and she could not get enough

Makayla likes to climb up or on anything and everything- she has masted the couches (as in coming from behind, up and over), the changing table, the fridge, kitchen cabinets, dishwasher- it's incredible really... I found a place to help foster her love of climbing in a safe environment. :) I took these pictures with my phone, so they aren't the greatest. 

She is also really good at the splits these days, but I cannot seem to be quick enough to capture it! It is so much fun to watch her grow and try new things.
