Thanksgiving

We had a little bit of an untraditional Thanksgiving this year- all alone here in our little corner of the world.
Thursday morning we spent a couple hours at a park, enjoying the sunshine and fall leaves. Makayla made a friend- a two month old husky/shepherd mix that knocked M over and and wrestled with her.  She was terrified the first few times, but soon couldn't get enough of "Tasha."
Around noon we headed on over to enjoy our feast at Hometown Buffet. (hahah) I know, it sounds lame... but it seemed like the most logical choice for us this year.  We were invited to a friend's home to join them, but when you are the only one with little kids in a nice (not so kid friendly) home, you cannot relax, so that was out. Another friend was going out to eat a nicer restaurant.  I told her that it was Thanksgiving, and I needed to FEAST... so out of fear that I would not be served enough food, we decided Hometown was the best place for us. hahah (I sound really pathetic)
We enjoyed our turkey, ham, fish (Andrew's strange and had fish instead of turkey...), mashed potatoes, gravy, the most amazing cornbread stuffing, and pumpkin pie...(well I had carrot cake instead, guess I too am strange...)

YUMMM

All of us were feasting at once- Jack included

Daddy giving her the good stuff

It was fun to see the "Thanksgiving Buffet Crowd"- it seemed to be mainly comprised of asians and senior citizens. Both, very friendly. :) The older man on the booth behind us sported a white beard, and kept saying "ho-ho-ho" (random)

We are so thankful for the many blessings we have, especially for our little family of four.  At the park we were talking about "life before kids" I asked Andrew what we would do all day?! We reminisced for a bit.  Life was easier, and we had much more freedom...but it was definitely not as full and rewarding as it is now.  I am thankful for a loving husband who is a sweet daddy to our crazy toddler and cuddly newborn.  I am so blessed.
