Saturday Andrew was on a camp out with the scouts, so the kids and I went to a couple public egg hunts. First stop, Lowes garden center. The hunt lasted 3.2 minutes and I think the kids made out with 3 eggs lol Luckily, they are both at an age where everything new is fun so they weren't bothered by the big kids swooping in and stealing all the loot (though, I may have been!) ;)) Then we went to a local church's celebration and enjoyed face painting and more egg hunting.
The church was near one of our favorite parks, so we spent the rest of the morning playing and exploring.
Sunday morning the kids woke up to a little basket with new shoes and coloring books. We dyed eggs and had another little hunt of our own.
I spoke in church on Mercy, Justice, and Charity. It gave me the perfect opportunity to ponder the life, sacrifice, and resurrection of our Savior.
After church, we enjoyed an Easter feast ham, asparagus, and scalloped potatoes. yummy

Jack was more into finding one, and easting it's contents ASAP.
It was a beautiful, perfect, Easter celebration.
