Andrew enjoyed his "spring break" 3 days off from school. He spent his time studying for all the tests the teachers carefully designed to fall right after Spring Break. :) It was nice to have him around more though. So, off to the highlights...
1. We were able to get our taxes done (and are getting one nice return... yahoo). Anyone who is still needing to do this, The United Way offers a great service. They have trained professionals and all the proper software to do your taxes for you, for free. You do have to make $49,000 or below. (The secret is out... teachers make WAY under 49,000!) :) We have gone there for the past two years now, it's a great blessing.
2. We spent another date night at the dollar theater. This time we saw Invictus. Amazing movie. It was truly inspiring. A must see.
3. We went to D.I. We go about every 4 months to browse. We found some good junk! Andrew found these super nice sketchers for $8!
I found a cute (name brand) dress. I wore it today to church. Within the first 4 minutes of wearing it, I may have discovered why, such a cute dress, was at D.I. for $6. When I walked it gathered and bunched and rode up my body. Not only in the front, no this dress would also stick to my bum cheeks and bunch up. I tried to capture a picture of it... I'll need to so something about this before I can wear it again.
4. We soaked up some Vitamin D with the kids at the park on Saturday. I left with some new freckles! yay! We spent that afternoon at the park while Alison enjoyed a little (much needed) break. We love those kids. Bronson is growing like a spring weed.
5. Saturday evening the adventurous side of us came out and we headed for the hills. We hopped in the car with Ryan and Sarah and headed to Diamond Fork canyon. Once there, you park, hike about 2 miles and find beautiful natural hot springs. We went there in July, so it looked a bit different with snow covered trails, but still beautiful. The hot springs are wonderful. Walking back in the dark and cold, not as wonderful.
oooooh! cute dress! try this: get a new drier sheet and when you've got the dress on, run the sheet up and around the inside of the dress... should help a little with the static?
ReplyDeleteOR... you can just own up to the cute little look of your undies poking out of the bottom of your dress--- it's really not my call there!
haha, you crack me up. I hate dresses that stick! And that's so fun that you live so close to Alison.
