Spring Forward... Fast Forward...

The past couple 'o weeks have been busy.  Ask me what we did, and I will have a hard time telling you! (the reason I am keeping this blog... so I can remember my life!)   First of all, I must say I LOVE LOVE that it is about 7:00 pm and the sun is still up and it is still bright outside.  Hooray for Spring.  I am ready to move on from this whole long, dark, cold winter thing. :) I feel like I need to divide up what has been going on in subcategories... let's see.
Productive things we've been up to:
1.  Andrew is always diligently working/studying and has been doing awesome in his classes.  (I would tell you he got a 94% on his physiology test Friday, but he got after me last time I posted his score!) :)
2.  We went to get our taxes done, they were all full, but we have an appointment for this Wednesday night.  (I am crossing my fingers for a nice return)
3.  I suppose I am still a diligent teacher, I still love my job and enjoy going to school each day.
Fun things:
1.  I  got to help out at Hailey's 8th birthday party.  8 hyper happy girls, 80 little glitter toes! :)
2.  Andrew and I were able to mozy on over to the movies 8 and see this uplifting movie.  I am not a fan of Brendan Fraser, but it was still a good, clean, family movie.
3.  I was invited to tag along to do glitter toes with my friend Christy who owns this boutique on Friday and Saturday.  It's always nice to earn a little extra cash.
4.  Saturday afternoon we were able to drive up to Pocatello for some family time. My parents, along with the Robison clan all met there to attend Stella's baby blessing on Sunday morning.  It was so nice to see everyone and visit for a few hours. Stella is a doll.
5.  Visiting with my parents Saturday night.  We were able to hear more about dad's experiences he had with Elder Cook last weekend.  We also tried really hard to reminisce about past vacations we went on. It was hard to get them straight, even the basic facts like who was there and what we did.  Wow, now I know where I get my memory issues from.
Strange things:
1.  Ok, this is funny (well I thought it was) last Saturday Alison and I were in a crazy mood and decided to join the mobs at Costco.  She had Hailey, Bridger, and Bronson.  I got Hailey and Bridger out of the car, into a cart.  Alison decided to feed Bronson before we went in.  I thought it would be helpful to grab another cart for her so she would just have to put the carrier in.  I ever so strategically  place an empty cart right up against her back right bumper.  I then walk away to be with Hailey and Bridger.  A couple saw me do this, and they proceeded to move the cart.  I kinda hurried towards them and told them I had placed it there for my sister to use.  They told me they thought someone was trying to backup.  Really? Are there people out in the world that place a cart up against the bumper of a running car to be evil? And do I look like one of those people? It was awkward.
2.  Sunday we were driving home from Poky.  Andrew was driving at the speed limit, 75 mph.  We were in the right lane.  In the emergency lane there was an Idaho State Highway Patrolman with his lights on.  He was just sitting there, with his lights on.  Next thing I see, that nice Idaho Highway Patrol man was pulling US over! So that sick, nervous feeling that always comes when you see the red and blue lights in your rearview mirror come upon me.  The reason?  "In the state of Idaho it is a law to get into the LEFT lane when ANY emergency vehicle is in the emergency lane." (Even when they are just sitting there) I think someone was just bored.  But, now we are more familiar with the law. :)  Had he actually ticketed us for that, I would be much more upset about it!

Someday we will take the camera with us, and the memory card will actually be in it, till then, no pictures to post.... Have a great week!

  1. "YES." that would be my answer to your question, "Do I look like one of those people (who run a cart into the back of someone's reversing car)"

You've always seemed a little shady like that, at least to me, and THIS is why I chose to keep you close... like BEST FRIEND close... in hopes that one day when you get this overwhelming urge to shove a cart into my car as I back out... you think, "hmmmm... well, we ARE besties-- so i suppose I'll ram this into this random person's minivan instead". Just sayin'.

ps. Idaho cops are evil. Funny story: Taylor, shy, sweet, blushestooeasily TAYLOR has been pulled over (on or very NEAR campus) while riding our little SCOOTER around town. Yes. Small blue and white scooter (sort of girly, I admit), Taylor (blushing and probably swearing up a storm in his mind), lights flashing, fat cop saunters out... you get it... it's my favorite memory of T's I share with anyone who will listen.

oh. and just to add insult to it all.... he's been pulled over on the scoot-scoot THREEEEEE times!!!!!!!!!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! (tossing head back, evil laughter, clutching belly)

  3. That CostCo story is great! You sure run into some crazy people in parking lots girl! I can just hear the conversation between you, Andrew, and mom & dad. "uh... yeah that idaho vacation was unforgettable" - "no dad that was Oregon..." "Oh, crimany it wasn't either!" hahaha

  5. Hey Kristen! I'm glad you found my blog! You are your husband are so cute! It sounds like you guys have been up to some fun things!
P.S. I just love Idaho cops because they're so cool and pull everyone over. In college, my roommate and I used to find people who were pulled over and drive by them really slowly while blasting "Bad Boys" (ya know; the COPS theme song). I really do miss Idaho!
