By Tuesday morning I had finally decided that I had stressed, shopped, planned, and thought enough about girls camp! It came to the point where I was leaving- ready or not! Luckily, it turned out that I was ready ! ;) The entire week was wonderful- the meals, the activities, the devotionals, the awesome (cheezy) camp songs- everything was GREAT! Camp Mia Shalom is a beautiful special place. Being there brought back such good memories of all of my experiences at girls camp- especially when we would sing the classic "Sippin' Cider" and "The Princess Pat." The girls were troopers- they did a pretty good job getting along and making the best of camp. I am really grateful that I had this opportunity-- but am also grateful that it's over! :)
The girls did some rad tie-dye
The 'boardwalk' on the confidence course- my right ear made it into the picture--
We made ice cream to put on our dutch oven cobbler- YUMM
You made it!! I bet the girls just love you to death!! Cobbler is the best part about camp! Miss you!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Kris Kris!! I'm sure they all LOVE you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ken-Ken!!! I was telling Lauren that I totally thought of YOU at camp singing- the Princess Pat with your crazy raspy voice on the "it's red and gold" line!! ahahhaha good memories. <3
ReplyDeleteWith all my heart i wish you were my Camp leader... it would have been the bomb diggity, no doubt.
ReplyDeletehahahahaha!! the cheesy songs!! all you had to say was "princess pat" and now it's stuck in my head, thankyouverymuch. now i'll go and see how many other people I can drive crazy by getting it stuck in Their heads.... ooooh i'm such a devious little miscreant!!
ps. you survived!!! luckiest teenage girls ever!
Yea! You did it! And you did an amazing job, no doubt! Those girls are gonna wish you were there next year too!
ReplyDeleteDidn't you love girl's camp. I love going. I actually volunteered to go next year, and I'm not even in Young Womens.
