First time I saw it unwrapped- yuck.
Experiencing some major atrophy- you can't really tell but my bone was sticking through! 3 weeks on crutches does a number on your body! (my triceps were huge- for a day)
Sporting the boot- even at the pool...
Got the 4 LONG screws out- yay

First day of Physical Therapy- that hurt...
Spent hours getting up the courage to take a real step.
Got to wear this really cool (grandpa-ish) boot. I was thankful for it, because it meant I could DRIVE! :)
Happy to report that my foot has healed nicely, you can hardly see the scars at all! Bodies really are amazing!
I still get the heebie-jeebies when I see the first picture!!! Now look at you- hiking all over the place, snowshoeing up and down the mountains, biking- that is what I call an amazing body! haha, whenever you call, the picture I have on my phone is of you doing glitter toes with your big cast/boot! I'll always have something to remind me of you and your bunion surgery :)
ReplyDeleteWow I can't believe that was a whole year ago... so glad you are back to normal!
ReplyDeleteI remember that!! It made me so sad that you had to take off so much time from spin! I can't believe that first picture!! AHHH! Singing sean kingston ha you would! MISS YOU!! Enjoy pump without me:(
ReplyDeleteSister Adams! I can't believe you had the steel rods in your foot. You are one brave cookie. I like the picture of you in the swimming pool. Given the choice to sit it out or swim, you'll swim every time.
ReplyDeleteGlorious. Glorious bunion-less dog. it's got me in awe over here!!
ReplyDeleteWHOA... your two different sized legs is CRAZY!!! hahahahah... sean kingston songs... you're so hip and with it!
ps. i'm just glad your toenails looked presentable... cuz seriously, that was... well... horrifying. :) i love ya... and sort of miss your wee lil bunion!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT HAPPENED~~~!!! I WANT TO SAY THAT THAT IS GROSS. but I can't. cause I'm going to be a nurse. and I'll be dealing with some pretty nasty things someday. Do you still have gnarley scars from it?? Wow, I hope I never get bunions on my feet.
