Where do I even begin... maybe with last night.
- Andrew and I were in bed watching a movie. The time was 11:30. Fruit loops were mentioned in the movie. Yummm. Fruit loops. I immediately went to the kitchen, poured myself a heaping bowl, and returned to eat it, in bed.
- Last weekend I actually made us go out to eat to GOLDEN CORRAL. (that place has not appealed to me in YEARS, oh but it sounded SO goo last SAturday night)
- About a month ago we were watching a show and this totally enticing commercial came on for TWIX. I had to have one, did I mention that it was a Sunday? Marched right on over to our faithful 7-11 and found me a KINGsize Twix. Delicious.
- I was up in West Jordan so I decided to stop at Ikea on the way back down the valley. I the found myself eating their delectable pizza. For the next week or so all I wanted was IKEA pizza, none other would do. After convincing Alison she needed some things at Ikea, we made the trip back up. Victory was mine, another slice of pizza.
- I rarely ate at fast food places before, and if I did, it was usually because Andrew wanted something. However, I can't even count how many times I have gone, by myself even, to lavish in the salty sensation of FRENCH FRIES. They have become delicious to me.
- I have always loved spaghetti-- but never this much. Even from day one I was craving eggs and spaghetti (not together). Friday night we went to Olive Garden. For me: all you can eat spaghetti. Luckily I had leftovers to eat on Saturday morning at 10:30 am. Andrew said: " You don't eat spaghetti for breakfast." Says who?
- Last Tuesday. The eve of the first day of school. 3:00 am. I wake up (to pee of course) and I realize I am STARVING. Oatmeal, yes that's what I need oatmeal. I sat at the kitchen table reading Andrew's class notes eating Strawberries and Cream Oatmeal.
- When I go to church I feel like I have a toddler. However, the packed snacks: all mine. Today a cheese stick and an apple.
- A few weeks ago I went with old college friends to Olive Garden for lunch. At the end of the meal the waitress brought out the signature Olive Garden Andes mints. I ate mine. But instantly wanted more. The whole drive home from Sandy my mind was occupied on where I could buy some Andes mints. The car drove itself to Walgreens, where I purchased a box and ate it in 2 days.
- The other day I was in the workroom at school during the 9:00 recess I say to anyone who was listening, "We should all go out to breakfast, I am starving." A dear fellow teacher remarks: "Wow Kristen, I have never heard you talk about food as much as you do now." I assured her that never before had I thought about food as much as I do now! :)
It's a wonder to me that I have only gained about 4 pounds, and I know that one of these days in the near future I will go to put my pants on and they won't go past my thighs... I think the baby growing inside of me is going to be like dad. Never ending pit of a stomach, but for now, keeping my stomach ever yearning for MORE FOOD!
Aww, I love hearing about your food cravings. I wish I lived closer so I could be around to help you indulge...I would love a heaping bowl of fruit loops in bed (but would Andrew like having me in bed with you guys?!?). And he should know better by now- Spaghetti for breakfast is minimal when it comes to Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast. Oh no, did I just suggest a craving? Go back to Golden Corral- they can fix that for you :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE BABY G!
You make me laugh! My first pregnancy all I wanted was saltine crackers with butter, tomato soup, and chocolate chip cookies. All at the same time. But the best stories come from Hyuna....you'll have to hear them in person! Enjoy your indulgences, you certainly deserve them!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! It reminds me of myself...I had to have Cafe Rio one night and started crying until I got it. I felt like a baby. I also feel like a toddler at church, too. I always have to make sure that I have my snacks packed or I am going to be one grouchy girl! French fries have been delicious to me, too. Even if we go out to eat somewhere that doesn't serve fries, I have to go get a small order somewhere to go with my meal ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! I get basically every symptom but cravings. I have always wanted cravings. I love to eat so much, but not so much when I'm pregnant. I still manage to gain way too much weight though.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! The joys of being pregnant! I love it! I'm glad I was able to join you for some IKEA pizza...it was delicious, pregnant or not. :)
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAH!!! I. LOVE. IT!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteholy smokes, cravings are crazy... impossible to dismiss and totally random!
i craved the following: rice krispy treats, watermelon, otter pops, sushi (yes, i broke down and ate it... a lot), and root beer floats.
couldn't have enough!!!
but only 4 pounds?! lucky duck!!!!!!
i'm all giddy hearing (reading?) you talk about all this crazy preggo stuff!!!!!! giddy, i tell ya!
Haha, I can TOTALLY relate! It's so weird, but when pregnant, I either love or hate my relationship with food. It depends on the trimester, it went hate, love, hate (to go along with nausea, doin'ok, and heartburn city) you are so funny :-)
ReplyDeleteSweetie...both mom and I had tears running down our cheeks as we read about your new eating disorder...and had a few good belly laughs. Don't worry, you're eating for two...and so it's okay! We love you...keep up that great sense of homor...love paps
