I got to spend most of the weekend with mom and Hailey in SLC. We stayed at the condo, went out for breakfast, and got to see Ryan and Julie's new home (very exciting for them!).

Friday morning I stepped outside to leave for work at about 6:45 and saw huge clouds of smoke coming from the Provo Tabernacle. (we live a block away) My first thought: "Oh no there's a fire I need to call 911!" So I jump in the car and turn the corner, only to see several fire trucks and police cars surrounding the area. Yes, the Tabernacle was on fire. I got teary eyed, seeing such a beautiful, important building burning. I turned around and came back home to wake Andrew up to tell him about it. What a loss for the community. I would have been a wimpy pioneer.

Sunday was perfect. Sing-Along at church and hours of visiting and puzzle doing at the Graham's. Oh what a way to start out this nice break!
Tomorrow I get to start the day off at the doctor's office. 34 week check up. Yes, that's right I will be a momma in 6 weeks. Scary. I dunno if we are 'fit' to be parents...

Funny pics...I seriously love the one in your wedding dress. I would know those crossed eyes ANYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteI read about the Provo tabernacle as it was burning down, and got so teary eyed. That's where we always had stake conference when we lived in the little duplex in Provo. Made me miss Provo A LOT.
34 weeks?! WAHOO!!! Love ya!
hahahah!! those crazy googly eyes are what made me fall madly in love with you! i love it! what a big week... i watched the Biggest Loser finale too and was SO happy Patrick won (and not Frado... he was a goober). I heard about the tabernacle fire, that's really sad.
ReplyDeletei can't believe you're only a few weeks from having your wee nugget!!!! i can't wait to meet her!!! i can't wait to see you and Anna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love ya, hope the last few weeks fly by, they suck. just sayin'.
How sweet it is to read of your daily life. Hunter and Tate will no doubt be sumo wrestlers some day. I read about the Provo tab while in the SLC airport and deeply saddened! It was there at a multistage conference that I met and shook hands with Elder Bruce R. McKonkie in 1977....a special memory indeed. Love Dad
