- Sunday night I got to celebrate with nephew BRIDGER. I LOVE that we share a birthday, he makes having cake and ice cream so much more fun! I mean we could not have had a totally awesome football cake just for me...He is the cutest little 3 year old red head you'll come across!
- Monday was MLK Jr. Day which meant- NO SCHOOL. (BEST gift ever!;)) Because of this I was able to: sleep in, go to the gym, and catch up on some of those little things that keep me up at night (more pregnant hormones rearing their evil head).
- Vanessa, Katy, and Stacia took me to lunch- Gurus. Loved it.
- Spent time with my really cool husband. He spoils me and knows exactly what makes me happy, without me even dropping one hint. He really out did himself this year though. We ended the evening by going out to eat at Red Robin.
Andrew wrapped my gift all by himself! It looked awesome!
I told you he spoiled me.
I could not have asked for a better birthday, not too far off we will be celebrating another birthday...
So glad you had such a happy birthday! I gotta tell you, when I turned 27, I was sort of thinking that birthdays weren't a very big deal. But then, someone I gave birth to had a birthday, and I realized that birthdays are ALWAYS a very, very big deal worth celebrating! I think I was just feeling "old" but having a baby perked me right up about the whole matter. :P
ReplyDeleteDearest Kristen Beth: How proud we are of you on your 27th birthday! As I told you on the phone, I remember your birth-day in Houston, Texas, at Hermann Hospital, as if it were yesterday! I'll have to call you and read to you my journal entry of your birth....it brings tears to my eyes...now you know where you got your "sappyness" from! Love you always and forever, Paps
ReplyDeleteYour dad's post almost made me cry. I want to read the journal entry toooooo! I am glad you had a long weekend to celebrate. Welcome to the world of MacBook :) Best ever. Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteAlright, seriously.... your DAD just pushed me over the edge now... i'm full on weeping. He's so fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly crapness! You got a MacBook!!!!!! Lucky lucky lucky girl!!!!!! Happy birthday, Kris!!
For your special birthday, I decided that I'll just share a special memory I have of us... and coincidentally, this memory was of us AT a birthday!! However, the birthday girl was someone we literally didn't know... she lived in Nauvoo house I believe. And the best part was, when it was time for Stranger Birthday Girl to start opening her gifts, who was lucky enough to be sitting RIGHT NEXT to her? YOU!!!!! So all these other strangers were taking a million-billion photos of the Special Girl, while you were trying so hard to blend in with the couch.... i am cracking up so hard thinking about, in fact, I have a photo of YOU shielding your face from the onslaught of photographers!!!!! Whenever I'm blue, I look at it. And start to die laughing!!!!!!
I just love you so, my girl! Miss all of our crazy crap!
