A Better View

It is hard to believe that it is already October. We were able to stay in our jammies all weekend and enjoy general conference, what wonderful words and teachings we were given this weekend. Even Miss Makayla enjoyed it next to me on the couch.

We have been having fun making new friends, and discovering our new city. We ventured off to a little zoo close by with Andrea and Jeremiah. Makayla loved all the animals, but the Lorikeets were defiantly our favorite.

Notice how the baby is the cool, calm, collected one- and the momma freaking out with the birds attacking her!

Last weekend I took Makayla to an education fair at a park. Most of the booths were geared towards older kids, but Makayla did score a cool giraffe mask, and would crack up every time I would put the mask on her face. She also got a nice new book.

We have been able to make some good friends. Makayla loves playing with Kali, Harper, Landon, and Jerimiah. I think spending time with all these boys is going to make her nice and tough.

We spend lots of time at the park down the street. The other night we went with Landon, Harper, and Verolica (the most adorable little Indian baby I have ever seen in my life). Her new favorite is to be pushed in the swing. She giggles and giggles.

Makayla is growing up so much. She has grown out of her little tub and enjoys crawling around and splashing in the big girl tub.

She has mastered the art of pulling herself up to “get a better view.” She will crawl to the foot of the couch, grab hold of the cushion and pull her little self up. We have even caught her in the fridge!

We miss spending time with Andrew, and try to help him any way we can. Sometimes we will meet him for lunch at school and enjoy an hour together. Andrew is working so hard, and as a result is seeing success in his classes. He is one diligent dude.
