It is hard to believe that I am 28! I have 2 years left in my twenties... better make them count! I had a wonderful birthday and felt lots 'o love. Andrew had Monday off. He woke up extra early to study, so that we could spend the afternoon together. awww Where did the girl who was turing 28 wish to celebrate? At the Ghirardelli outlet. :)
It's just a quick 10ish minute drive down the 5 to the most amazing chocolate and sundaes you can imagine. I ordered the cookie sundae and Andrew had the hot fudge. Best birthday dinner ever. :) That's right, when you turn 28 you can have sundaes and kettle corn for dinner. 
We hung out watched "our shows" on netflix and lazily enjoyed each other's company, best gift ever- to go along with the super nice blender/food processor that I got. :)
Tuesday started off great with a spin class. Then Heidi and Kali called to inform me that they were taking me to lunch. First time to El Torito- super good. After lunch I crafted it up with Amy. I got home just in time to hang out with Andrew. He made dinner and cleaned the kitchen. So nice! Around 9 there was a knock at the door. Kali and Amy came to take me out for some ice cream. So thoughtful.
We chatted and had a great time.
I am so blessed with many caring friends and family members- near and far who shared their love through phone calls, texts, and gifts in the mail. I felt like one spoiled girl. Bring on 28!

ReplyDeleteSo happy you had a great birthday. It seems like yesterday we were celebrating bdays as roomies in our early twenties, and now we are almost in our thirties, crazy! Great post, so happy you were spoiled on your special day. Oh and those sundaes do look pretty tasty. Love and miss ya Kristen!
