Utah Visit/Christmas/New Years

Where to even begin? Once we got to Utah, it felt like we had never moved. (although, we did drive by the old house and a tear or two were shed...I am a nerd) We had a wonderful time with family and friends. Because we were there for 3 weeks, I cannot remember what happened when (vacation fog had settled in, I didn't even know what day it was). Luckily, we took pictures to help us remember.

Heading out...

We arrived on a Wednesday. Katy was nice enough to pick us up. :) Thursday night we went to Hunter and Tate's wrestling match. Entertaining.

Friday morning there was a nice reception at the MTC in honor of Steve. They gave him a picture of the Sacred Grove. We all enjoyed fruit, cookies, and chocolate milk.

Afterwards we headed over to celebrate the marriage of Angie. We owe a lot to Angie, we met through her. :) She was a beautiful bride, and it was a wonderful day.

Saturday The Robisons hosted a Christmas Party. Both Adams families came down to party 2 days in a row.

Monday I got to go to cute little Bridger's Christmas program at Preschool. Cutie.

Nessie and Elisabeth did an awesome job on their gingerbread house. :)

Christmas Eve was spent with the Grahams. We carried on the Adams family tradition of croissant sandwiches. We had an enjoyable time. Eating, watching the Church's new New Testament movies, and doing our gift exchange.

Christmas morning started with church, where Steve and Vanessa both spoke and shared some really great messages. They will be entering the MTC on Monday to prepare for their mission to Ghana.
When we got home, we enjoyed opening gifts together.

It was a lot of fun to watch this cute little one eat the wrapping paper off her gifts. :)
Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious brunch of fruit, pumpkin french toast, donuts, and orange julius. yumm.

The next week was spent relaxing, enjoying friends and family, and mountain biking... (well Andrew did!)
John, Ross, Andrew, Mark, and Chris ready to ride the Bonneville Shoreline

Andrew and I got to spend some time in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. So nice.

Kneaders for all you can eat french toast- scrumptious.

We got to visit with the dear Sabey family

We also got to hang out with Ryan and Sarah a few times. :)

New Years Eve was spent with the Robisons. We busted out the karaoke machine and had fun with that. For dinner we went out to eat at JCWs then hung out, watched the illegal firework show put on by Rhett, and a movie.

New Years Dinner: Chinese Fondu. Love this.

On Monday Andrew headed down to Southern Utah with John, Ross, and Paul for some more biking adventures.

Tuesday I went to Snow Springs. I walked in and happened to stop right in front a 6th grade classroom. I saw little faces light up and hands wave. I lost it. I walked into the office just in time for the secretary to witness my little break down. I miss that place. I miss the kids. It was so fun to give and get some hugs from them.

Our stay came to en end... Makayla helped me pack up-
We really only wanted to check ONE bag- to make more room in our carry-ons, Andrew wore a few pairs of pants home. bahaha

Early flight out- last picture with grandma and grandpa for 2 years...

We are so blessed to have such amazing family members. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Utah. We miss being close to those we love, but are enjoying our adventure here.

  3. Awe, I loved all this! It made me miss ya! I would totally tear up passing ANY place we've lived in. I goes that's what us sistas do! That is HILARIOUS that Andrew wore several pants home. I hate having to check bags, so I'm glad to have some ideas to free up space now. :)

  6. aw..how fun for you to visit your family back in UT. I am sure it must've felt so strange and yet wonderful. My favorite part of your trip was the trying to fit everything in one carry on....and your husband eased that burden. Nice.
