Summer Vacation

On June 30th, Makayla and I hopped a plane Denver bound.  We were greeted by Nana and Papa and hung out for a few minutes to then greet Lauren and "Mone" (Makayla's form of Simone)
We spent a few days in Colorado together, before mustering up the courage to pile into the car for a road trip to Idaho.

Loaded :)

The girls did great (for the most part) and we made it sanely and safely to Pocatello on July 4th, in time for a picnic and fireworks with the Idaho Adams.

Makayla loved the fireworks, but just couldn't manage to stay awake for the entire show.

The next day we drove up to Rexburg with plans of touring the campus, and taking a walk down memory lane. Rain put a damper on those plans, so we met the Utah Adams and the Robisons at "New Fongs" for a big family lunch.

After lunch I snuck away to visit a very special friend, Katy.  We were old college roommates, all those years ago, and luckily, have kept in touch.  It was fun to catch up and meet her hunk of a baby Sterling.

The Adams Family Reunion kicked off that night with a BBQ at the Romrell's home.  It was so fun to see cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma, grandpa...everyone getting older... more and more great grandchildren.

the original seven :)

ALL the grandkids... couldn't sit still if their lives depended on it... 13 kiddos under that age of 10!

All the great grandkids

Friday was spent at Heisi, swimming in the pool, eating lunch at the cabin, and taking river boat rides down the Snake.

Bridger and Makayla got along great. :)

Makayla plopped down right on Tate- she makes herself right at home- luckily it wasn't a stranger this time

Friday night we headed out to Mountain River Ranch for a fun night of food, music, and entertainment.  Makayla got down to that live band.  Bridger was so cute he came running up to the front and said "I have to dance!" He and Makayla had a great time shakin' it. (I took video... but NO pictures!? )

Wagon Ride

The festivities wrapped up on Saturday with lunch at the Stanger's home.  There were plenty of fun water toys that Makayla had a blast in.

We stuck around Idaho Falls Saturday night, and swam in the hotel pool with the Utah Adams.

Sunday morning we headed down to Pocatello for baby Hattie's blessing and a fun lunch at the park.

From there we loaded back in the car to drive to Utah.  We stayed the night with the Robisons in their new beautiful home.

The next day we headed back to Colorado. I feel like with each stretch of the marathon road trip the girls did better and better. :)

We spent the rest of the week relaxing, BBQing, and enjoying Ft. Collins. It was so fun to watch Makayla and Mone play together, and give each other their awesome "kisses" :) Little cuties.

We had a wonderful time playing with nana and papa and look forward to our next trip!
